Tunnell's Vision
I was watching a movie titled, “Though None Go With Me.” It was a story about a lady who struggled with her faith and dealt with loss until she met and fell in love with a young minister who encouraged her to make a total commitment to God. She did and yet, her faith throughout her life was rocked and challenged over and over. There were times she felt she was not accomplishing anything; just spinning her wheels. However, she never looked back on that commitment to God. She stood by the statement, “though none go with me still I will follow, no turning back, no turning back.” Late in her life her friends held a celebration for her of her years of service in the church and she was finally able to see how God had truly led her and used her through dark and difficult times. I know this was just a movie, but there is so much truth in it for us as well. When we commit our lives to God and allow Him to lead, we open the pathway for His will and His accomplishments in our life, which is far more than we could ever do on our own. We serve a mighty God of unlimited possibilities! I love Ephesians 3:20-21 which says, Don’t turn back on God no matter what and then go and enjoy the happiness that comes from knowing you are in the center of God’s will. Serve Him with a smile, no turning back, no turning back. Because we’re His, Michael Tunnell
